Hello World
Greetings to the Internet,
My name is Jeff and welcome to my site. In the coming days, weeks, and months I will be adding content with the purpose of helping educate others on good security practices for non-technical people and technical write-ups on cybersecurity challenges I conquer.
As of the time of this writing, I am a Cybersecurity Engineer that focuses on tackling big challenges in very sensitive areas of the network. I conduct security assessments internally and work with vendors and inside teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate risk findings. In other roles, I have been a senior business system analyst where I have developed processes that decreased errors, removed manual tasks and automated workstreams, and trained and mentored numerous analysts and engineers both domestically and internationally.
I was the first person in my immediate family to get a college degree. I am a Masters degree in Cybersecurity Engineering from Colorado Technical University and a Bachelors in Information Technology with a concentration on Cybersecurity from Southern New Hampshire University. I have continued my education journey by trying my hand at TryHackMe content, which I highly recommend for those aspiring hackers.
On the non-technical side, I have begun the journey of woodworking. I am trying my hand at scrollsaw work when I’m not trying to build a simple box with my tablesaw. I am an avid reader of history, especially anything around espionage and the cold war.
I love taking on new challenges, getting hands on keyboard, and solving tough problems. I hope you enjoy what you read here.
